There are two types of arts. VISUAL ARTS and NON-VISUAL ARTS, these are the two types of arts which are categorized by our mode of observing . Arts, which are only for watching are called VISUAL arts and those arts which are not only for watching as well as to feel ,involve, mental and physical growth are called NON-VISUAL arts.
Painting is an practice of applying colors on a flat or textured surface to create the scene of your dreams. Painting is also called the visual language of expressing our thoughts ,feelings, emotions and ideas . It is created with lines, shapes, tones, textures, colors and values to create the volume, space, depth, lights and shadows. it is generally created in 2d styles but some forms of painting allows us to show our creativity in 3d.
Here we have so many Painting styles which are categorized by the mediums and regions. we have two divisions of regional styles- which are Eastern and Western styles of Art. In mediums we have two basic divisions of mediums -dry mediums and wet mediums.
